Our Recruitment Process

We look for hard working, driven individuals with a passion for marketing and who can articulate comprehensive strategies and substantive solutions. Our organization recruits bi-annually, during fall and spring semester. The recruitment process involves an application, a resume drop, a first-round behavioral interview, and a second-round group case interview.

If selected for a behavioral interview, please be prepared to answer questions that explain your leadership qualities, your interest in AIM Consulting, and your unique contributions as an AIM consultant.

If you have any questions about the application, recruitment process, or the organization, please email us at uscaimc@gmail.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • AIM Consulting is an organization that gives undergraduate students the opportunity to learn about and participate in consulting for clients. Our members are given semester-based projects where we work in teams to develop marketing strategies for our clients. In addition to working on the project throughout the semester, AIM gives its members access to professional development workshops, guest speakers, and networking events. We also pride ourselves on having a tight-knit community due to the various social events hosted for our members to better get to know one another.

  • We hold club meetings every Wednesday from 8-10:00 pm PST. Each of the project teams will also coordinate meeting times individually based on availability.

  • During our weekly meetings, we have deliverables, in which we update one another on the progress of our projects, professional workshops, such as resume workshops or networking workshops, and guest speakers, consisting of past alumni, CEOs, and experts across various industries.

  • AIM is the only marketing-focused consulting organization on campus. AIM also prides itself on the diversity of its consultants as our organization consists of members from over 30+ majors/minors and from 10 different USC schools. We have also seen many of the recommendations implemented by our consultants being implemented in many billion-dollar companies (Check out our Case Studies and Client Testimonials for more information).

  • If you were to join AlM, you would be placed on a consulting team with four other members and work with one client each semester on marketing-specific consulting projects. By the end of the semester, you and your team will present your final recommendations in a presentation along with a detailed deck to your client. In addition to the consulting aspect of AIM, we also host retreats, workshops, and socials each semester.

  • As a consultant, you can expect to spend anywhere from six to eight hours a week on AIM-related work.

  • Not at all! We often take candidates with no prior experience in marketing or consulting. We look for students who are passionate about marketing, willing to collaborate with other students in teams, and willing to give their all!

  • While attending info sessions is not required to apply to AIM, they are a resource to determine if AIM is the right club for you. Feel free to drop by if you are interested or have any questions!
